Softball Game Preview: Fostoria Redmen vs. Rossford Bulldogs

The Fostoria Redmen will head out on the road to face off against the Rossford Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fostoria has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 15th.

Fostoria couldn't beat Arcadia on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Redmen fell 11-8 to the Redskins. Surprisingly, this marked the Redmen's fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Lilliana Bernal was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Hayley Edwards was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Rossford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 25-7 to Liberty-Benton.

Fostoria's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Rossford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Fostoria might still be hurting after the 15-3 loss they got from Rossford when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Redmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
