Basketball Recap: Parkdale Has No Trouble Against Laurel

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Parkdale on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-40 win over the Laurel Spartans. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Parkdale found their leader in freshman Zenai Ferebee, who went 10 for 15 en route to 24 points and eight boards. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for Ferebee. Hannah Youn was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

Parkdale's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Parkdale Panthers challenge the Northwestern Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laurel, they will take on DuVal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
