Softball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Riverton Silverwolves

For the second straight game, Bingham will face off against Riverton. The Miners will face off against the Silverwolves at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Bingham is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

Bingham is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverton, sneaking past 3-1. The game was the first time the Miners have beaten the Silverwolves on their field since May 23, 2024.

Brecka Larson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brooklynn Fogg was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Bingham's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-8-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Riverton, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 29-5.
