Baseball Recap: Mountain View Triumphs

Mountain View hadn't done well against Uintah recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bruins walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Utes. The game was the first time the Bruins have beaten the Utes on their field since April 25, 2024.

Carson Tobler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Mountain View is 5-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Diego Falcon was excellent, going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Caden Imes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Uintah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Uintah, they will take on Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Utes surely won't give up without a fight.
