Volleyball Recap: St. Dominic Takes Down Ranked Belton

St. Dominic faced Belton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Crusaders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pirates.

Maddy Mannebach paced St. Dominic's offense, picking up nine kills. Mannebach got some help from Charlotte Bland and her 17 assists. Natalie Frazier and Olivia Roberts kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

St. Dominic's victory bumped their record up to 18-5-2. As for Belton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-6 record this season.

St. Dominic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Ozark on the 4th. As for Belton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Liberty North on the 4th.
