Basketball Recap: Santa Ana Valley Comes Up Short

Santa Ana Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 51-26 to the Orange Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-36 back in January.

Orange found their leader in sophomore Alexander Villa, who posted 27 points. Those 27 points gave Villa a new career-high. Mark Hernandez-Chino was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Santa Ana Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Orange, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-24 record.

Santa Ana Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orange, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Loara at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
