Preview: Ingalls Bulldogs vs. Minneola Wildcats

Ingalls is 2-8 against Minneola since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ingalls Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Minneola Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Ingalls focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
Last Monday, Ingalls didn't have too much trouble with Deerfield on the road as they won 60-45. 60 seems to be a good number for Ingalls as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Ingalls' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Layton Simon led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds. Brogan Sperry was another key contributor, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 2 assists.
Meanwhile, Minneola took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 53-19 win over Rolla.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minneola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Lang, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Levi Lang, who scored 16 points.
Ingalls' win bumped their season record to 2-0 while Deerfield's loss dropped theirs to 1-2.
Ingalls suffered a grim 61-38 defeat to Minneola when the teams last played back in February. Can Ingalls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
