Springfield is 4-0 against Bloomington since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Springfield Senators will challenge the Bloomington Purple Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Springfield didn't have too much trouble with Springfield Southeast as they won 70-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Senators.

Meanwhile, Bloomington can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Manual by a score of 46-36.

Bloomington's win came from a few key players Springfield will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Josie Skeate, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds. What's more, she also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddie Embry, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and eight blocks.

Springfield's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Bloomington, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-9.

Everything went Springfield's way against Bloomington in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Springfield made off with a 58-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Springfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
