Basketball Recap: JW North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

JW North extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were dealt an 81-43 loss at the hands of the King Wolves. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

As for King, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

King got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mark Cadena out in front who shot 80% from the field on his way to 19 points and seven boards. Cadena is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chukwuma Ezinwa, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 21 points.

JW North and Downey will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 62.3 points per game this season. As for King, they have already played their next game, a 66-48 defeat against Edison on the 13th.
