After only one run in their last game, Athens made sure to put some runs up on the board against Philo on Saturday. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Electrics, sneaking past 15-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since March 25, 2024.

Athens is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Philo, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens will take on Vinton County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Philo, they will be playing at home against Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
