Baseball Recap: Triway Comes Up Short

If Triway was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Huron last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans came up short against the Dover Crimson Tornadoes on Monday, falling 10-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Triway's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Dover, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Triway will head out on the road to take on Wooster at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crimson Tornadoes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Arrows have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
