Football Recap: Ridgeview Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Ridgeview came out on top against Palatka by a score of 13-6. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Ridgeview's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Palatka is ranked 323rd).

Ridgeview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.5 points on average over those games. As for Palatka, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palatka, they will face off against Hawthorne at 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
