Baseball Game Preview: Combine Academy Global Goats vs. Grace Academy Lions

The Combine Academy Global Goats will face off against the Grace Academy Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Back in March, Combine Academy Global came up short against Ambassador Christian School and fell 5-1.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. Grace Academy fell just short of Lake Norman Christian by a score of 5-3. That's two games in a row now that Grace Academy has lost by exactly two runs.

Grace Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Hartnett, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Brody Mcnamara was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Grace Academy and nudges their season record down to 10-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Combine Academy Global, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
