Baseball Recap: Excel Takes a Loss

Excel managed to slip by Flomaton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 7-1 to the Hurricanes on Friday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Excel saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Nettles, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Excel's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Flomaton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Excel will venture away from home to square off against UMS-Wright Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Flomaton, they will welcome Andalusia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight.
