Football Recap: California Lutheran Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tyler Treder and Joel Doebler

California Lutheran was the 53-20 winner over United Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The C-Hawks received a blow on Thursday as they fell 30-14 to the Eagles.

Joel Doebler and Tyler Treder certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Doebler rushed for 95 yards and one touchdown, while Treder picked up 37 receiving yards and one TD. An impressive showing, but Treder really ramped things up playing D: he picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Cash Clawson went supernova For United Christian Academy., rushing for 185 yards and four scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

California Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, California Lutheran will challenge Calvary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for United Christian Academy, they will square off against Malibu at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
