Baseball Recap: Walled Lake Western Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Walled Lake Northern Knights. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat on Saturday.

Lucas Hoffmeyer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Walled Lake Western's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Walled Lake Northern, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walled Lake Western will head out to challenge Mott at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Corsairs at the right time seeing as the Corsairs are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Walled Lake Northern, they will square off against Kettering at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
