Softball Game Preview: Piketon Redstreaks vs. Oak Hill Oaks

The Piketon Redstreaks will take on the Oak Hill Oaks in a tournament on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Piketon has six straight victories, Oak Hill has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Piketon beat Zane Trace 7-2.

Addy Blakeman was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Heath, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill came up short against Eastern on Friday, falling 26-1.

Oak Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynlee Stickley, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Piketon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
