Softball Recap: Fairlawn Comes Up Short

Fairlawn came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Fort Loramie Redskins, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Jets in their meetings with the Redskins: they've now lost five in a row.

Fairlawn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amara Dewberry, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fairlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Fort Loramie, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairlawn is set to face off against their familiar foe Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Loramie will square off against rival Russia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
