Basketball Recap: Inlet Grove Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Inlet Grove extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ja?Marcus Johnson. The Inlet Grove Hurricanes came out on top against the Leonard Lancers by a score of 51-44 on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tayler Hodge White, who posted four points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Inlet Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Inlet Grove will take on Tradition Prep in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tradition Prep has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. Leonard and Village Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leonard is facing Village Academy at the right time seeing as Village Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
