Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Lakeside's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Lakeside unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Mangham Dragons by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

McKenna Chreene spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Lakeside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teal Austin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 29-7. As for Mangham, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-11.

While Lakeside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
