Recap: Moberly Spartans vs. California Pintos
The Moberly Spartans suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Saturday. Their rough 59-38 defeat to California might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Moberly has scored all season.
Moberly lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kish Jacobs jr, who scored seven points. Collin Knox was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Moberly has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for California, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Moberly's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for California, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Linn at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Linn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while California is ranked 150th).
