Softball Recap: Knappa Takes a Loss

Knappa couldn't beat Clatskanie on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Loggers came up short against the Tigers, falling 23-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 8, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Aubry Rusinovich was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Tarabochia, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Knappa's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Clatskanie, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Knappa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Nestucca on the 13th. As for Clatskanie, they have also already played their next match, a 16-0 victory against Gaston on the 13th.
