Baseball Game Preview: Immokalee Indians vs. Palmetto Ridge Bears

Immokalee is 2-8 against Palmetto Ridge since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Immokalee Indians will head out to square off against the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 7:00 p.m. Immokalee has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Immokalee is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Aubrey Rogers, falling 16-2. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly 14 runs.

Immokalee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruben Anzualda, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Palmetto Ridge had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Golden Gate a 2-0 shutout on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since April 29, 2024.

Rylan Horrell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Immokalee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Palmetto Ridge, their record now sits at 2-7.
