Ridgecroft had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Raiders last Tuesday, they had to take a 21-10 loss.

Evi Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Katie Vaughan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Hannah Slaughter was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ridgecroft's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

As of now, neither Ridgecroft nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
