Linn hadn't done well against Eugene recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Eagles 3-0. The Wildcats have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-8,  25-14.
Linn's offense was headlined by  Carley Brandt and  Nicole Grellner, who picked up six kills apiece. Grellner really made an impact as  she also led the team in assists with 14.  Kylie Goans controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Linn's win bumped their record up to 19-7-3. As for Eugene, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record  this season.
 Linn will welcome New Bloomfield  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Eugene, they will venture away from home to  face off against North Callaway  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
