Basketball Recap: Sangre de Cristo Comes Up Short

After flying high against Moffat last Friday, Sangre de Cristo came back down to earth. The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds took a 35-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Del Norte Tigers on Tuesday. The contest marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sangre de Cristo's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Del Norte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sangre de Cristo will welcome Primero at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Del Norte, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Del Norte Tigers take on the Custer County Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
