Soccer Recap: Shoemaker Comes Up Short

Shoemaker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Midway Panthers, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 732nd, while the Panthers are ranked 222nd).

Shoemaker's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Midway, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Shoemaker will challenge Killeen at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Shoemaker is facing Killeen at the right time seeing as Killeen is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Midway, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Midway face off against the Temple at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Midway's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
