Baseball Game Preview: Mount Juliet Golden Bears vs. Hendersonville Commandos

For the second straight game, Mount Juliet will face off against Hendersonville. The Golden Bears will challenge the Commandos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Juliet has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with seven straight losses, while Hendersonville will come in with three straight victories.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Mount Juliet and Hendersonville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Golden Bears lost 12-3 to the Commandos on Tuesday.

For Hendersonville's part, Adiel Chavez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, Chavez posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Trent Wood was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyler McDonald, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Hendersonville's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Mount Juliet, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1.
