Volleyball Recap: Woodstock Gets the Win

Woodstock hadn't done well against Roswell recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Hornets. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Woodstock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Woodstock's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Roswell, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
