Softball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights, falling 22-3. The Generals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

MacArthur saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Felicia Meyrick, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Meyrick also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

MacArthur's record now sits at 0-6. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Looking ahead, MacArthur will square off against Decatur Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they will head out to take on Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
