Basketball Recap: Berkeley Prep Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Berkeley Prep had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Lakewood Spartans out 34-31. The 34-point effort marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Berkeley Prep has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Lakewood, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Berkeley Prep will face off against Calvary Christian on Wednesday. Calvary Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Berkeley Prep likes a good challenge. Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
