Baseball Recap: Peoria Christian Chargers vs. Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn Rockets
Peoria Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn Rockets by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Josiah Kniep put in work no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Kniep was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
