Carbon Hill is a perfect 10-0 against Lynn since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bulldogs will take on the Bears in a tournament on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Haleyville hit Carbon Hill with a eight-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

AnnaLynne Dutton was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Raelea Guy, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Lynn also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Cordova by a score of 11-8.

Alli Dutton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs. Amy Barton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Carbon Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-20 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Lynn, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12-2.

Carbon Hill skirted past Lynn 8-6 when the teams last played back in February. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
