Recap: Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers vs. Berea Bulldogs
The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Berea, posting a 84-27 victory on the road. Considering Blue Ridge has won six games by more than 36 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Blue Ridge to victory were Anyah Henderson and Zikira henderson. Henderson dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 11 assists, and ten steals, while henderson scored 20 points along with seven steals and five assists. Those ten steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Helena danielle Earley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Blue Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Berea, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Broome at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Berea, they will face off against Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
