Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Lincoln's offense. They fell just short of the Bedford Kicking Mules by a score of 2-0 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Railsplitters' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Connor Sindlinger was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 13-26. As for Bedford, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.

While Lincoln had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
