Basketball Game Preview: Oldham County Colonels vs. Spencer County Bears

The Oldham County Colonels will head out to face off against the Spencer County Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Oldham County ended up a good deal behind Owen County and lost 59-42. The defeat continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Spencer County humbled Shelby County with a 55-20 victory. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Spencer County and bumps their season record up to 17-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.5 points. As for Oldham County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Oldham County took a serious blow against Spencer County when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 55-25. Can Oldham County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
