Volleyball Preview: Sealy Tigers vs. Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles
The Sealy Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sealy will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Sealy beat Harmony School of Discovery by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 0-0.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Fort Bend Willowridge's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Stafford by a score of 3-2. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 27-25 in the first set.
Fort Bend Willowridge took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 23-25, 25-16, 15-11.
Sealy is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, they now have a losing record at 14-15.
Everything went Sealy's way against Fort Bend Willowridge in their previous meeting back in September, as Sealy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sealy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
