Preview: Sierra Linda Bulldogs vs. Metro Tech Knights
Sierra Linda has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Metro Tech Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Sierra Linda is ranked 250th, while Metro Tech is ranked 252nd).
Sierra Linda lost a heartbreaker to North Canyon when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The contest between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Sierra Linda falling 57-43. They have not had much luck with North Canyon recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Metro Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-20 defeat at the hands of South Mountain. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Metro Tech has suffered yet this season.
Sierra Linda has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Metro Tech, they bumped their record down to 5-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Things could have been worse for Sierra Linda, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-39 loss to Metro Tech when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Sierra Linda avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
