Game recap: Haynie runs for seven touchdowns in Belton-Honea Path victory

Ted Haynie ran for seven touchdowns to lift Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, S.C.) to a 51-7 beat over West-Oak (Westminster, S.C.).

After taking the lead on a Korey Thompson touchdown run in the first quarter, the Bears led 48-7 at the half.

Belton-Honea Path expanded its lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. BHP's lone score in the quarter came on a field goal by Parker Peeples.

Haynie and Jermale Turner ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Warriors.



The Honea Path school's most effective player was Haynie. The junior wide receiver kicked one field goal and four extra points.

Mays Chandler played well for West-Oak. The junior kicked one extra point.

WO's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard run in the first quarter.

The Bears had given up an average of 8.2 points prior to the contest.

A 55-21 Belton-Honea Path victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

Belton-Honea Path (5-1) goes up against Daniel in a AAA Region I game matchup next week, while West-Oak (0-6) locks horns with Wren also in a AAA Region I game.
