Recap: Cliffside Park vs. Ferris
Ferris might have drawn first blood against Cliffside Park on Saturday, but it was Cliffside Park who got the last laugh. Ferris took a 19-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cliffside Park.
Ferris's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Joston Malave, who passed for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns. Junior Esaw Jamison was in the mix, too, providing they with 2 touchdowns. This was the first contest for both squads, starting they off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Cliffside Park a 1-0 record.
Ferris are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Newark Collegiate Academy next week at 7:00 PM. Cliffside Park will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Indian Hills at 1:00 PM.
