Baseball Recap: Agape Christian Takes a Loss

Agape Christian couldn't beat Galatia/Thompsonville on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights lost 19-7 to the Bearcats. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Agape Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-8. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Galatia/Thompsonville, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Agape Christian will venture away from home to face off against Shawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Redskins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.67 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Galatia/Thompsonville, they will square off against Cobden at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
