Basketball Game Preview: Millard North Mustangs vs. Omaha Westside Warriors

The Millard North Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Omaha Westside Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Millard North faced off against Millard South on Friday. Millard North walked away with a 41-30 win over Millard South.

Meanwhile, Omaha Westside's game on Friday was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They blew past Papillion-LaVista South 70-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted against the Titans since January 2, 2018.

Omaha Westside found their leader in sophomore Gueryn Kay, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Kay. Another player making a difference was Kimora Jenkins, who posted 16 points and eight boards.

Omaha Westside was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Millard North's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Omaha Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Millard North didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Omaha Westside when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory.
