With a playoff win on the line, Rocklin rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs, sneaking past 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Thunder, who have now won 15 matches in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-97) Rocklin actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-21, 16-25, 16-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Rocklin found their leader in sophomore Sophie Burns, who had 11 digs and three aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Burns.

Rocklin's victory bumped their record up to 37-4. As for Archbishop Mitty, their loss ended a ten-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 33-4.

Coming up, Rocklin will challenge Mater Dei at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Archbishop Mitty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
