Volleyball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Cady Knight and Ariana O'connor

Lewis-Palmer and University squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lewis-Palmer had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rangers have suffered since September 11th.

Despite the defeat, Lewis-Palmer had strong showings from Ariana O'Connor, who had 13 digs, and Cady Knight, who had 21 digs and two aces. Knight has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 29 times she's played.

Livianna Aguilar was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs and four assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October.

The loss snapped Lewis-Palmer's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 20-10 record. As for University, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Lewis-Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Windsor on the 15th.
