Linton-Stockton took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Corydon Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Miners won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 8-7. This was payback for the Miners, who suffered an 11-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Linton-Stockton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Corydon Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Linton-Stockton has already played their next matchup (against Tri-West Hendricks), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Corydon Central, they will square off against Scottsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
