Baseball Game Preview: Beekman Charter Tigers vs. Oak Grove Tigers

Beekman Charter is 1-7 against Oak Grove since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Beekman Charter not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Summerfield. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Gauge Yeldell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Beekman Charter got a massive performance out of Trenton West, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave West a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keylan Sandidge, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Beekman Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, while Oak Grove put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Neville. Oak Grove put the hurt on Neville with a sharp 11-0 victory.

Beekman Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Oak Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Beekman Charter took their win against Oak Grove in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 19-4. Does Beekman Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
