Basketball Recap: King's Way Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

King's Way Christian proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 31) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Kalama Chinooks 61-58. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Chinooks back in January, they had to take a 54-52 loss.

When it comes to explaining why Kalama lost, don't look at Abel Koski. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 11 on his way to 23 points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks. Koski is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Benji Brightbill was another key player, putting up ten points.

The win was the fourth in a row for King's Way Christian, bringing their record for this year to 12-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Kalama, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

King's Way Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-48 defeat against La Center on the 31st. As for Kalama, they have also already played their next game, a 93-53 loss against Seton Catholic on the 31st.
