Basketball Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Trinity Classical Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a blow against the Vasquez Mustangs on Monday, falling 98-62. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 93-53 back in January.

Vasquez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daeron Bankett led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine assists. Bankett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Parker, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds.

Trinity Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Vasquez, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Trinity Classical Academy and Desert Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Vasquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
