With a playoff win on the line, Trinity Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles by a score of 52-45. This was a revenge game for the Gryphons: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 44-38 defeat.

Despite the loss, Fredericksburg Christian still got an impressive performance from Amri Donado, who went 8-for-18 on her way to 25 points and six boards. That was a full 55.6% of Fredericksburg Christian's points, marking the fifth time in a row Donado has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Riley Thomas, who earned six points along with seven assists and six rebounds.

Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Fredericksburg Christian and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Coincidentally, Trinity Christian and Fredericksburg Christian will both be playing Seton the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian will head out to face Seton at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Fredericksburg Christian will head out to face them on Tuesday.
