Basketball Recap: Bear River Comes Up Short

Bear River was the 69-63 winner over Ridgeline when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bear River Bears fell 59-48 to the Ridgeline Riverhawks on Friday.

Ridgeline got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dawson Low out in front who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Pinochi, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Bear River has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Ridgeline, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear River will host Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Morgan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Ridgeline, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m.
